All tea comes from the Camelia sinensis plant. Based on the method of production, teas can be divided into three categories: black, oolong and green. Green tea is an unfermented tea. After withering (if withered at all), the leaves are immediately pan-fired, steamed or baked to prevent oxidation, thus no chemical change. The leaves are then rolled and dried. Rich in polyphenols antioxidants, green tea has been a major focus of nutrition research linking green tea consumption with lower rates of cancer and heart disease.

Why You Should Drink Green Tea

  • Reduces the risks of certain types of cancer, including cancers of the lung, breast and digestive tract

  • Lowers the risk of cardiovascular disease by blocking the formation of plaque in the coronary arteries

  • A cup of green tea equals the nutritional value of one vegetable serving; it also aids in digestion

  • Improves bone density and dental health - even helps to prevent cavities

  • Improves the fight against flu and other viral diseases and helps prevent infection

  • Antioxidants in green tea are 200 times stronger than Vitamin E

  • Reduces cholesterol, especially low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol

  • Promotes healthy weight loss by increasing your metabolic rate by 4%

  • Is a natural diuretic

  • Is refreshing and relaxing

  • Helps focus and stimulates thinking

  • Tastes great!
